200-210 gr. JHP Fans ?

I'm currently using a 210 gr. JHP in .44 mag  for plinking / hope to use for deer round . I load it on top of 11.1 grs. of Unique for 1200 + FPS.  I realize it's not near max, but it's very accurate, controllable,  gives minimal muzzle raise, and I think if placed well would do well on broadside deer shots.  Do any of the rest of you favor a 210 JHP ( or even 200 gr ) at about 1200 FPS from your .44 or .41 mags for deer ? Performance ? Thanks.

I use the Remington 210 for my fun shooting and the Sierra 210 for hunting. I load it with WW296 and load within the specs as per the Sierra loading manual. It's fast and does a deer pretty quickly with no bad results in the ones I shot with it.

The lighter bullets can give good performance and flatter shooting with less recoil when hunting the smaller thin skinned game like deer.The BC is not as good as the bigger bullets but close enough for deer.

If all you plan on using them for is deer, they will work. Myself I prefer a hard cast bullet for all my game. What will work on deer will also work on hogs and black bear.

Years ago, I took a buck with the  Rem. 180 JHP @  1275 fps out of my .44 Ruger. I limited myself to a broadside shot and got total pass through with good expansion. He ran only a short way, leaving an impressive blood trail. I'm going to the 210 now just in case heavy bone or multiple ribs are hit.
