No. 1 Mk 3 Stocks
« on: November 27, 2008, 06:02:35 AM »
My Ishapore NO. 1 Mk 3 stock is trash, so I am considering putting on a synthetic stock. There are two models, one from ATI and the other from Ramline.

Does anybody have experience with both? Which one, in your opinion is the better stock?

Thanks for any input,

Steve

I'm interested in this answer. I have a fine #1 MKIII sporter that has great figured wood on it, but the butt has warped, and I don't want to get into making another.

Anybody have either of these two stocks? I'm mostly interested in the Ram-Line stock. I have an ATI that I had on my No. 4 MK 1, which I returned to its military configuration. Any information on the RamLine stock for the NO. 1 MK III would be appreciated and I would like to know how the ATI and Ram-Line fit.

I put a Ram Line on my 2A. It makes a good backup or truck gun. The Ram Line, to my taste at least looks a lot better than the lumpy ATI. Also it has a better feel to it and it lighter.
The Ram Line has relatively smooth lines and nice asthetics while the ATI has a overly long looking forend, a big cheek piece and a pistol grip that looks like an afterthought.
