Hauling Game

In Texas the deer are small bodied as a rule so easier to pack out I would guess. A couple of years ago I boned out the deer and most of it fit in my saddle bags and the rest fit easily into a swinger cooler.Wouldn't have know I was packing game except for the antleers with tag around the headlight.

Funny part is most people never thought for a minute you were hunting. Most probably looked at you and thought damn biker. I've seen allot of horns and such on bikes at Sturgis.

I have pictured myself riding home from a deer hunt with a nice buck draped over the back seat and some how tied to the sissy bar. The weather is to cold in WI to go deer hunting on the bike, for me that is. It would get some curious looks.

I running about 180 miles round trip Tuesday with a bunch of coon hides cargo netted to the rear fender.  That is, if the stupid snow we got today melts.  It is supposed to hit 50 degrees on Tuesday and may be the last decent riding day for a while.

We rode year round in Alaska.You can stud the tires yourself and do fine,no different than ice racing really.

That is fascinating.  I'll have to get to searching on that one cause it isn't the cold that bothers me, it is the fear of skidding!

Like a run or rally I usually run with a crew. A support vehicle does the hauling. When I hunt the Dodge does the hauling. I try to always keep my deer out of sight until the check station. Besides the roads I have to drive are all oil field roads and it would beat you and the bike to death.

Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.
