Model 12-A
« on: December 01, 2008, 03:01:10 AM »
I have an old model 12-A that is marked .22 short SN#654xxx.  The bbl is stamped .22 short but an antique firearms dealer told me that if it was not a 12-B (it isn't), and the loading slot on the magazine tube wasn't just a triangle (it isn't either) then it would shoot any .22 except WCF and WMR.  Does this sound right, I would love to shoot .22lr, but i don't want to hurt the gun.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
