I have a 2nd gereration Match Target Woodsman that shoots anything I feed it, but as a rule, I only use target ammo in my rimfire pistols. I guess that comes from 30 years of smallbore bullseye shooting.
I find the target ammo to be much more accurate than Hi Vel stuff, and the velocity is only about 50-75 fps slower.............. Squirrels and grouse don't seem to know the difference.
As to brands, I've shot Remington Target ammo for years, and switched to Federal Target about 7 years ago. I haven't used too much Winchester T-22 because my 41's don't like it.
PMC also was good when I was shooting it.CCI........?..... never seem to want to try it.
In other words, the woodsman shot whatever I was using in the 41's at the time, without ever a jam or ftf.
I'd suggest trying target grade ammo..........and stay away from the cheaper bulk (Hi Vel) packed stuff.
