Small Gen power
« on: December 03, 2008, 03:02:12 AM »
Here's one I've seen used in Alaska. Car generator with a big old Caddy radiator fan blade hooked up to it. Gen wires ran to a big cat batt and twelve volt lights ran off of it. Not a lot of juice but better than a blank.Water wheel in stream will also turn gen.

Here is a neat idea though I am still a bit skeptical as to it and what kind of load it could handle..

Very interesting.  Wonder if there can be any other draw on it besides a light bulb.  DP

I believe the best utilization would be to charge batteries which you could also do from your car alternator in a pinch.   Would be more reliable than the sun or the wind for demand periods.

You could also fashion one of these:

Banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered - - Thomas Jefferson 1802
