How do you dissasemble a Lorcin Md L380
« on: December 04, 2008, 01:32:56 PM »
This pistol has something wrong with the hammer, trigger, whatever.  When you work the slide, the hammer will not cock.  For the life of me, I cannot figure out how take the gun apart.  I own many firearms: rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers and have never had a problem disassembling any.  Of course Lorcin is out of business and I haven't been able to find any resources on the internet.  Yeah I know I should just toss the cheap thing out, and I probably will if it needs replacement parts as they are probably not available.  Anyone have any experience with this piece?

No experience with any model Lorcin, but I found this on the web. Don't know how accurate it is but here ya go!

To disassemble the lorcin 380. remove the magazine, go to rear of gun where the firing pin shows when cocked, push in little black ring shaped thing with mechanical pencil or similarily shaped object keep presseure applied while pulling back and lifting up on slide , be careful!!!!!! springs are used and can fly!!!! the black thing will release and can be pulled out, the slide can then be slid back and pulled up then pushed forward and removed.
If taking off left grip be careful the safety spring can and will shoot out.

Good Luck!

Go to your favorite fishing hole and throw it in the deepest part. That's how you disassemble a Lorcin. ;D

Lorcin = paperweight.  Anyhitng more involved is really asking a lot from it.

Come on guys, give Doug a break. This Lorcin may be the closest thing to a firearm he owns. If he can get it to work, it'll be better than harsh words for defense. Anyway, welcome to the board! He's gotten the idea by now that Lorcins are not highly thought of.

My ex-wife bought herself a Lorcin 380 and was shooting Remington ammunition. The bolt started to shear apart and almost came back in her face. She sent it back and got a new gun and it now sits in my night stand and has never been fired since. They aren't too safe!!!
