savage 111 fcxp3 30-06 shank size?

I have a savage 111 fcxp3  in 30-06 ! I was thinking about  bobbing the barrel to 18.5 inchs! Wanted to keep the original barrel and find a replacement factory barrel in 30-06 to cut down! Can anyone tell me the shank size? I here about little shank and big shank? but know nothing about how to tell! This is a 2003 or newer rifle! round reciever! Did the shank size switch from short action to long action? This is not my first savage i have a 110 7mm rem mag ,model 111GL 30-06and this (model fcxp3 111 30-06 winter project gun) Any help would great! Thanks Dale

It's small shank.  The WSMs, some of the RUMs, and the target action rifles use the larger shank.
