After my recent experience with Wal-Mart, I wonder how any of them continue to sell guns.
I wanted a Cricket rifle for my niece. They were selling at Wal-Mart for $110, instead of the $150 I'd seen at local gun shows. It took 45 minutes to complete the sale, since the clerk behind the gun counter couldn't sell guns, the "manager" who eventually showed up had to fill out not only the federal form and get clearance, he filled out all the company paperwork before going to get the box. Then he called for another manager to countersign. As the second manager walked me out the front door with my purchase, I voiced a complaint about the delay. She started to blame the federal paperwork, and I cut her off, telling her I had purchased other guns in the last year, and it took ten minutes tops---that it was Wal-Mart's incompetent sales practices that had held me up, starting with putting someone at the gun counter who couldn't sell guns.
Never again.
