Just heard on the radio that the Feds hauled away Illinois' governor King Rodney. Didn't say what for. It won't fix all the problems in this state but its a good start.

Blagojevich was caught on a federal wiretap talking about making money off the appointment of a replacement senator for Obama. What an idiot, he knew the feds were investigating him.

This really ought to get interesting. It has been "street talk" for months that Blago was "goin' down" - really before the selling of a senatorial seat was an issue. There are many other things in the background. Blagojevich is somewhat of an impetuous little snot - antagonizing other Dems and playing games with the state's money to get his personal agenda through. He has alienated "The Machine" with his demands, manipulations, and antics. There are a lot of Dems probably dancing a jig in Chicago over this right now.

Rezko will be brought up again as he had ties with Blago & BO. "The Machine" is tight with BO and helped him to victory. Blago better get used to what the underside of a bus and a stainless steel toilet looks like.

Obama has already distanced himself from this guy. He'll let the bus roll over him. Nothing more than a black Al Capone with a college degree. This guy was used, couldn't keep his mouth shut, and will be a lesson to others. He wanted a cabinet seat,'Bama said no, Jesse Jacksons son wanted money, this guy wanted money to ''arrange'' a position. Typical Chicago politics. Everbody's guilty. What I'ld like to know is, if the FBI hadn't stepped in when they did, and arrest him, how far up the political ladder this would have gotten?? was he the one that tried to force Bank of America to make bad loans to a failing unionized company
don't these Democrats know by now what happens when you tell banks to make bad loans

Yeah 45-70, that's him. And yes he's a liberal Democrat. However he isn't much worse than the liberal republican who was in office before him. Who is, by the way, one year into his six year sentence.

Actually the mess we are in with the bail outs and the jerk of an Illinois governor really goes a long way in my opinion to showing why we need term limits for the politicions. Not that term limits would have done anything to prevent the Illinois governor from doing what he did, but these jerks don't need to have the idea that politics and being in office can be a career.
