'Bama not Obama
« on: December 10, 2008, 11:27:00 AM »
GB brought up a good point somewhere in a recent post about the "bama" now being an unseemly connection between Alabama and he who must not be named. I've seen a lot of this recently and am horrified to see bamania sullying a fine state.

Rumor has it that Alabama lost to Florida on purpose to avoid being in the BCS National Championship against Oklahoma because people would be calling it the O-Bama Bowl.   ;) :D ;D :o :P :-* ::)

I know I used the short hand version several times, and not once did I ever intend to insult the people or state of Alabama. Never occured to me of the connection. For this I'm sorry, I will never use that shortened version again. I have done several gun shows in the state of Alabama in years past, and was always treated with respect, and the people were always friendly and helpful.
So from now on, if I refer to or President elect, in a cantankerus way, I will either use the term,The Mutt, since that is what he called himself when he picked out a dog for his kids at the Whitehouse, or the acronym HNIC.  gypsyman

call me what you will....

the guy won.  if you believe in the american system, you should give the man a chance.  that is the true american thing to do.  if he starts screwing it up, i will be the first to call him on it.   do i think he will?  yes.   whether you like it or not, he is the president elect.  i will give the man an honest chance.

ya'all do your thing, but ask yourself, does he deserve an honest chance?

disclaimer: NO, I DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM.

I think that they are just starting to stir that pot. (Read Rezko, Emil Jones, Daly, Blago,) You know that (Hussein) had to know of the dealings of this corrupt machine.

Senator Kennedy called the man Osama and that's good enough for me.  Do I think we ought to give him a chance?  I don't think we have any choice, but do I think he is the answer to what ails America?  Hell no; it isn't even clear that he is legal to be President and his past associates leave a lot of doubt about his judgement.

I've never been a supporter of any Dumbycrat President and I sure as hell ain't starting with this one.  Oh, unless he comes out with a full and unequivical endorsemnt of the Second Amendment and making the Bush tax cuts permanent.  Then I might consider a little yippee for him, but what do you think of the chance for that?
