SNOW??!! IN HOUSTON?!
« on: December 10, 2008, 04:10:27 PM »
You boys from the colder climes have too bear with me for a moment.
It is snowing in HOUSTON TEXAS.
Could this be a sign?
It is gorgeous.
We don't get this but once or twice in 20 years or so.
Thanks for bearing up under this with me. I am real excited.
Dang, where did I put them long pants?
Blessings

Do me a favor and keep it on that side of the Mississippi... no need to send it to us as we get snow every year sooner or later ;)

You're pulling our legs, right?  How can it be snowing in Houston?  Al Gore and the dem's say we have man made global warming.  They wouldn't lie, would they?   By the way, I've shoveled snow five times in the last ten days or so, and it isn't even the middle of December yet.  I want my global warming.  ;)

I think, Matt, that you need too steel yourself too these Boma comments. It is just too easy, they won't go away.
With that said that is the first and last time I will personally use it  :-[.
Well, back too the snow. It is gone for the most part now. It was great while it lasted but, I will be the first too admit that more often would find me looking for a warmer clime.
If you can't play golf in shorts on Christmas day, you aint in Houston.
If you can't hunt deer in a cammo Tee shirt you aint in S Texas.
I will take it warmer--not colder.

I'm glad you like the snow once in a while. My attitude toward snow is that if you're going to live in a southern state, then the weather should be southern. Minimal snow, ice, cold wind, etc.

I guess you just have to get used to it William. To me there is not much better than spending the day out in the cold, clean, fresh air (it's great for your lungs) and then going home and sitting with the family around a nice warm fireplace crackling with cherry wood. It revitalizes the soul.

Skunk
I will be the first too admit that I am not man enough too handle the cold some of you folks thrive in.
On the other hand I know folks that can't take the heat and humidity of houston.
It takes all kinds and If we all fell in love with the same woman it would be a hell of a fist fight.
It was gorgeous though and I am thankful for it.
Blessings
