12 or 20 Ultragon?
« on: December 11, 2008, 01:50:23 AM »
Considering purchasing one of the new thumbhole's with Ultragon rifling. I have a 12 USH now and thinking of trying a 20. Will I regret it? Will the 20 be as satisfactory at 150 yards as the 12? Has anyone tried the Ultragon and is it an improvement? Thanks, Barry

I have the 20 gauge USh with ultragon rifling. They are extremly accurate and have dropped 2 deer this year one at 50 yds and one at 100yds . I have a bad shoulder and have no problem with the recoil of the 20 gauge. When i used to shoot my Mossberg 500 in 12 gauge it was brutal and i could never get comfortable with it. While i dont have a 150 yd shot in my area i would feel very comfortable taking it with the USH. Go with the 20 you wont regret it.
