I'm working on my first one right now. Love my flex-tech, hate the comb height and put a sleeve type comb raiser on it. Got the basic shape, and cutout for the frame done. Now gotta figure out how to get the holes in there in exactly the right place and right angles. Forend will be pillar bedded when I get to it.
I used the flextech for the basic outline(raised the comb and toe/heel), and for inlet measurements. I stared at a lot of pictures of wood stocks from T/C, Eabco, Denzel Roberts, Bullberry, and Boyd's before I decided on the design.

Did you start with a full width blank or laminate boards together?
