Ceramic sharpening for knives
« on: December 11, 2008, 04:57:43 PM »
I have been using a Steel like device to sharpen my knives.  It is just like an old fashioned steel but has a wood handle and is made out of ceramic.  I find it sharpens things in half the time of a stone and if you put a lighter stroke to it after the edge is set it produces some excellent sharp edges.  I don't know where to get it now because the place that sold it doesn't carry it any more.  My current favorite sharpening device I paid $ 20.00 for.
