It appears to me that the *new* Ultra Light Slug Hunter is being somewhat confused with the Ultra Slug Hunter at times on this forum . Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the *new* ULSH (Ultra Light Slug Hunter) is just a type of redesigned replacement for the Tracker II with some new fangled rifling design called Ultragon, and a monte carlo type stock. Like the Tracker II it has the lighter "pardner" style barrel with the Ultragon rifling and like the Tracker II weighs in around 5 1/4 lbs.
The USH (Ultra Slug Hunter)is on the other hand made with 10 ga and 12 ga. type barrel blanks that are heavy and "pipe like" and have the weight in the stock for recoil reduction and counter weight so to speak. The USH (Ultra Slug Hunter)is made in 12 ga.(10 ga.type barrel blank)and 20 ga. and a 20 ga. youth type version that are made from 12 ga.type barrel blanks. At least this is what I've originally been told. All weigh in between 8 to 10 pounds or a little more, depending on the version.
Is this right or am I not following along correctly? Anyone care to jump in here with any knowledge on this? Seems the more I read, the more I don't understand or is it just being confused by others that have posted?
