new savage LE rifles
« on: December 12, 2008, 12:00:20 PM »
I've seen savages new rifles for 2009 on their website. does anyone know when they will be available or anything else about them. I really like the DBM feature they are now incorporating on more of their rifles. they have a new stock design also that will be interesting to see. hopefully an improvement over the old tupperware stocks.

Bear,

Unless Savage offers a brand new CNC machined Savage 99, in .358 Winchester, with blued steel, walnut stocks, and a detachable magazine, I doubt that there is really anything new that Savage could offer that would get anybody very excited.  :-)

   And, . . . that ain't gonna happen.

Regards,

The new 99s are will hopefully hit dealer floors in 2010 or 2011.

Bear,

The ones with the new stocks will also no doubt have the smooth barrel nut and the new bolt release that eliminates the big wing release mounted on the side of the receiver.
