Suggest choke for sporting clays?
« on: August 17, 2003, 10:39:07 AM »
I've shot hundreds of rounds of skeet.  Now, I thought that I would humble myself before the TX dove season opener in a couple of weeks and shoot a little sc.  What choke would you recommend?  I'm shooting a 12ga. Rem 870, and have skeet, mod, and full tubes on hand.  Thanks!

It depends on what you want to do.  If you want to become better, use a tighter choke.  If you want to go home with your pride, use a Skeet or Modified choke.  Hope this helps.

If you don't want to change chokes b/w stations then leave the modified in and go have some fun. I know a number of guys that shoot gaspipes for s/c's and they all use modifieds.  8) Mike
