Arctic Cat 2-up ATVs
« on: December 13, 2008, 12:18:09 PM »
Thoughts and opinions (from first-hand experience preferred) on the Arctic cat 2-ups ATV's requested.  Looking at something that the little guy can ride with me until he gets his own and maybe will entice the wife to even ventrue out with me for a ride.  Have no need nor desire for the big displacements machines - not one that equates displacement with manliness - so the 500 or the new 400 interests me.
For all I'll need and use it for the side-by-sides aren't for me.

dont know if your stuck on artic cats or not. My one neighbor has a 400 cat but it doesnt have a 2 up seat. Its a good riding machine. He hasnt had any problems with it but rarely rides it. The other neigbor has a 400 can am 2 up and its one hell of a machine. He has a little over a 1000 miles on it now and no trouble. Youd swear you were riding a 500 or 600 with the power that little 400 puts out. Rides great too.

Thanx!  The Can-Am would be choice 31 and I've heard nothing but positive remarks about them.  Cost amore but if it's worth it I have no problem spending the extra $.
I'd always ridden Cat sleds a nd have ridden a Cat ATV - a 700 and it was good just way moe than I'd ever need.  Looking for usefulness not bragging rights via displacement.
Keeping opions open 'til spring anyways.

  thanx again!

I currently have a 2007 Artic Cat 650H1 which has been great so far , a friend has the same bike but its a 2 up . The share the same motor and running gear . I personally cant comment on the 500cc motor but everything else is pretty much the same .
This is my first automatic bike so the lack of shifting took some gettin used to ,the independent suspension and the ground clearance are two things you'll appreciate as well as the high / low range ,in low this thing crawls .
We're happy with our bikes.
Good luck .

This an all artic site , good info in there
