broke my crockett
« on: December 13, 2008, 04:53:12 PM »
well me an ol dad were out shooting our frontloaders and while i was undoubtedly out shooting him with the pea shooter then hammer refused to stay cocked. im going to call it the trip lever because i dont no what it is but it broke. it is a small bar that lies horizontal and hooks into a cam that looks the hammer back. well the edge broke so now im waiting till traditions opens up so i can get my part on order. the gun has a limited lifetime warranty so i hope this is covered.

It's your sear. who ever made the rifle should hve parts . I think I would buy a couple. check the thumble (the bit that holds the hammer back) too. Not a hard fix. be carefull with the main spring.

Call Traditions and give them the part number - they will send you the replacement part. As I recall they were not to speedy at sending the part when my Traditions rifle broke though.

called traditions and finally got through after the 6th time. but all is well since they didn't reakky get to in depth just asked which part i needed and my address now the parts are in the mail. if anyone ever needs parts dont hesitate calling them they were very easy to work with.
