Squirrel and Dumplings
3 squirrels
1/2 stick of margarine
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
Cut squirrels into small pieces. Boil or pressure cook until tender. Remove meat from bones and place back into broth. Add margarine. Mix flour, baking soda and salt. Add 1 cup of boiling broth to mixture and stir until it forms a soft dough. Roll dough on floured surface until very thin. Cut and drop small pieces into boiling broth. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
