Richard, Patty wants a Great Pyreneese..........cause they can and do kill wolves....of which we have more than our share......four on the property last week.  We ought to send the surplus wolves to L.A. or NYC.    Our dog would be outside 99 percent of the time, and not a house dog.  He'd have a snug, warm home in the barn where he could come and go at will, unteathered to handle wolves, coyotes, fox and bobcat or two legged intruders. Those dogs, the G.P.s, are very protective about their home turf, great with kids and other critters.  The two of you made very good choices.  Let me know how she makes out with that puppy in her lap ;)

My .44 SBH Bisley hunter likes 22 grains H-110 under a 240 gr JSP with a light coat of moly on it so much that I don't shoot anything else out of it.   My Redhawk gets the heavy cast loads.

By now i would have taken the old screw or the gun to a fastener warehouse and found on in the bins that would work.

All righty then!   ::)  Getting back to my first hunting handgun...  ;)

I LOVE that gun!   :o  I burned up some rounds I had loaded for use in another revolver that I haven't been able to shoot in 4 months.   >:(  Said revolver to remain nameless because I don't want Will'um to hurt hisself falling off his chair laughing...  :-X

Then I put a bunch through it using a load given to me by a friend who shall also remain nameless.  Mainly because I don't want him to have the satisfaction of knowing how good it shot in that Ruger.   :D  After shooting the first cylinder full I looked at the target and thought I had missed it with a few rounds.   ???  Then when I looked through the spotting scope I saw 6 holes in two little groups that made a nice tight cluster!   :o  I'm a happy boy! 

I shot it mostly at 25 yards getting it sighted in for that load.  These were 240 gr. bevel based RNFP's GB member D Crockett gave me; sized .429.  I think I'm gonna buy about 500 keith style bullets, flat base, and practice with the open sights for a while.  I'll also sight in the scope and decide how I'm gonna use it just before deer season opens.  I wore 1 power reading glasses today so I could see the front sight clearly and the bull wasn't to blurry.   :-\

All in all I am pleased as punch with the Ruger SBH Bisley Hunter!    ;D  And I thought my Pistolaro days were over!   8)

Don't I wish!   ::)  I'd sure like to see what it will do after I reamed the throats out to .431 to match the .430 barrel...   :-\  I really wasn't to happy with 9 to 12 inch groups at 25 yards, even from a snub nose!   ::)

I noticed that Woody,  :D  I was going to comment on it, but I couldn't spell double entandra  :-[  and our spell check is still out.  So, I had to pass up a great opening...  :( ;)

BTW everyone, Taurus just told me the screw was shipped the 4th, expect 5 day delivery.  I'm still not buying any .431 Keiths just yet...  :-\

          I have a 7 1/2 in SBH 44 mag with the weaver scope and a 2x burris scope that works well.  I am satisfied with the way it handles and shoots.  I changed the grips to rubber and bought a cheap bandolier holster from cabellas, works well for me.
