Tasers-Anyone know any good one's?

My aunt wants a taser type device.  I do not know much about them so can anyone tell me which is the best bang for the buck and where to get them?  Let me know how they are and any selling points to them if you could.

first make sure there legal were you live. Here in the FL air  Tasers fall in with batons and dagger and deadly weaopns but non- shooting  Tasers are legal.
