Just wondering if anyone has one of the new Nef's in 7mm or 300 magnum?

Someone more informed than me will answer up in a moment.
If I heard correctly, those cartidges were planned, but cancelled prior to production, but i think they are still on sales brochures.

Won't happen unless distributors show more interest and order more than they did last time, Marlin refused to spend the money on the testing of the new frame that was planned for the Handi-mags.  :-\

Does that mean if they do come out with those Handi-Mags I can buy a frame, slap my 45-120 barrel on and go to town with even more power?!?!?!?!?!?!

I dunno, but I wouldn't count on them ever being available. For all we know, the underlug design may be completely different, and I would expect it to be myself, a solid and large hinge like the TC or CVA would be a big improvement.

I don't think so. From what I found out the frame would be revised with a tougher alloy, and the hinge pin diameter increased. Perhaps a tougher metal used for the underlug if that ever came about. It also should include a stress relieved barrel with a consistant interior barrel diameter. Don't get your hopes up. It would be nice, to have a 7mmMag all beefed up to rumble.
No reason not to have one. Though the bean counter may not agree.

If we are going to push for a magnum than put me down for a long barrel 270WSM.

I think you'll never see a short mag in an H&R,  TC nor any TC barrel maker offers short mags, Bullberry did at one time, but they've been discontinued,  single shot break barrel actions just aren't stout enough to handle the bolt thrust of the big .555 casehead at 65kpsi.

Please let me inform all potential customers that the following calibers are not on our list of calibers, so there is no sense asking "please". No WSMs, nore WSSMs, nor Ultras, nor STWs, nor Wbys (outside the smaller 240 Wby). These are calibers that are not applicable to the Encore.

I would love to see them come out with a handi in either 7mm Rem mag or 300 Win mag, 338 Win mag would be nice also.
