Good post IG.  Most people don't realize that we were "warned" about Pearl Harbor and 9/11 and we did nothing about it.  The next time won't be any different.

Sorry Heather, but that's just hate -America whacko conspiracy nonsense! ::) ( just kidding... ;D you know what they say about info on the internet..Believe it or not, depending on the source! )

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/3681690/Study-rules-out-Pearl-Harbor-conspiracy.html

A new study has concluded the US did not have advance warning about Japan's plan to bomb Pearl Harbor.

Research has been released on the 67th anniversary of the attack on the key naval base which forced America to join World War II.

There have long been allegations that some in Washington knew in advance that the Japanese planned to target Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Now, a team at the National Security Agency (NSA) has carried out a study which rules out the long-held theory surrounding one of the Second World War's most enduring mysteries

According to historians, secret messages buried in Japanese-language weather reports, meant to alert Japanese diplomats worldwide to destroy confidential codes as war with America, Russia and Britain was beginning, did not reach US officials prior to the attack.

Under Japan's "winds execute plan", East wind rain meant the US, north wind cloudy was the erstwhile Soviet Union and west wind clear was Britain if diplomatic relations were "in danger" with one of three countries.

Washington also missed potential warning signs because intelligence resources had been diverted to the Atlantic.

The Japanese misled the US about the whereabouts of Tokyo's naval strike force, Robert J Hanyok, one of the study's authors, said.

"The problem with the conspiracy theory is it diverted attention from the real substantive problems, the major issue being the intelligence system was so bureaucratized," Hanyok was quoted as saying.

Nearly 2,400 Americans were killed and almost 1,180 injured when Japanese fighters bombed and sank 12 naval vessels and heavily damaged nine others.

Ironglow, lots of people listening. Bush listened, he's taken years of critisism for going to war. The problem is, to many liberal politicians that think Iran won't do anything. Isreal will probably strike first, and most of the world will blame them. And with our new teflon don taking office in about a month, not sure on what side of the fence he'll come down on. It isn't going to be pretty that's for sure. gypsyman

Carter didn't "get religion" while he was in office. He claimed he "got religion" long before that time, but if he did..he got it wrong. Nobody can justifiably make his claim and be pro-abort.
    Still, I'll go along with Myron..lump all those names together including Carter, and I can accept it..

I think many people are listening.  However our elected officials don't have a clue what to do.  It is no different than any other problem in this country, our beloved leaders give a half-hearted attemt to fix a problem that they started in the first place, but only if it will get them re-elected.  The GDP(generally dumb publc) has no stomach for real solutions to the terrorist with nukes problem.  It would mean taking a side, standing up for ourselves, and beating the hell out of an evil terrorist state BEFORE they beat the hell out of us.  And it could take many years to do.

As large a concern to me is the current situation in Pakistan.  Pakistan already has a terrorist government armed and operating, very effectively, within its own borders.  The political situation is unstable and they already have 20 nukes.  If the Taliban gets hold of the central government you can bet those nukes will be heading our way.  But America is told it can't send troops over the border to fight this scourge.  Again its time to stand up and do whats right for America.

Bingo!!!!
Saudi Arabia paid for the development of the Pakistani bomb.  The Saudi papers were full of articles about how Pakistan was developing an "Islamic"  bomb.

TM;
  In his book, "Audacity of Hope" he said, "I will stand with the Muslims should the winds of politics turn ugly"...I suppose WAR is about as ugly as politics can get... :D

  Alsaqr;
  If the Islamofacists were to take over Pakistan, I would expect our Commander in chief to execute a strike upon Pakistan's nuclear storage facilities..unless he's too busy standfing with them.

  It would seem to be a paradox for the lefties now. All these years they have been castigating Bush for being a "oil man" and going easy on the Saudis. Now we find the Clinton's were given some 46 million dollars from the Muslim "oil men"..ostensibly, for the Clinton library (and massage parlor). With all those Million$$ freely given..can we figure our new Secretary of State will be dealing firmly with the Muslim "oil men"?

And IG we thought the Nazi's had been defeated in 45. Hitler may have died but as you can see Naziism and antisemitism is alive and well. And BBF the Muslims are "pissed" as you put it because they will only stand for total subjugation to the yoke of Islam. It is the way of that cancerous cult, too bad some are to childish and naive to see that. You poor liberals you will give away the freedom of the world under your silly naive ideas of multiculturalism and diversity.

Bush and those guys all should have been listening long before sept 11

tm, it would have been kind of tough for President Bush to have been listening "long before sept 11" when he was only in office about seven months before the attacks (and trying to clean up the democrat childishness that took place before they let him in).   ::)

I'm not about to buy his book and find out, and I doubt you have bought and read his book, too.  However, if you have the Chapter and page number I will access the book at the library, or online, and verify if he wrote this and exactly what context and who it was meant for....unless you've already done this.

That's funny coming from the guy that told me you weren't going to do "my" research for me (re the 9-11 conspiracy).  He gave you the quote, the author and the name of the book, and you want him to give you the page number, chapter and context.   ::)

OKay now I remember...page 261...yes. This was circulating on the internet during the election by hate mongrels like Billy, casull, and PM; and dis-information information specialist like IG.  I'm not an OBama guy so I don't follow this crap too much except the facts and acts of who and why liers do this stuff, which ultimately hurts our country and just compounds adversalism.

Obama will stand with the Muslims is related to this quote below:

Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

From Barack Obama’s The Audacity of Hope on page 261.  An email is circulating which summarizes this as follows:

"This guy wants to be our President and control our government…"

From Audacity of Hope: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

A rather noble sentiment from Obama is turned into a fear-mongering distortion by the aforementioned hate mongrels, propagandist, and assundried racists against blacks.

Hate mongrel and water boy are accurate general enough labels in use describing the kinds of dialogue and activities you/others engage

tm, that's about what I would expect from you.  Nothing to back up your assertion that I am a "hate mongrel", just a statement of your opinion (for what that's worth) and no facts.  You act like you know me, and obviously you do not.  You post theories and conspiracy sites on here that are so easy to argue against and then get all pissy when someone does just that (I guess that's what you mean when you talk about contentiousness).  I wish we could debate the reasonableness (or lack thereof) of some of your theories and those that you post, without you getting so defensive and then resorting to the name calling.  But, I guess that just won't happen.   ::)

matt. Tm is an expert at stirring the pot, and you seem to be easily swayed, or stirred,  when it comes to any and all of his I hate America threads and conspiricies. If you would consider his sources for facts you would see his agenda is simply to stir the pot against America, president Bush, Israel, and anything Christian. Divide and conquor, he works hard at it. You're right about one thing, I don't like tm, he stands for many of the things I detest. He'll talk of Biblical things and you believe him, even though he wouldn't know Gods word if he heard it. Satan knows every word in the Bible, and he'll use it to his advantage. tm will twist words and phrases to suit his wants and needs, and you believe him. He's got you matt. I've spoken the truth about Gods plan for Israel and his chosen people, you insist on believing tm about those things instead of the truth. Whether you believe it or not there WILL be a judgement day for ALL of us, both you, me, and tm. I don't dislike you matt, I just hate to see you being led the wrong way. Several of us here see tm for what he is, you will too someday. POWDERMAN.  ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
