my favorite garrett rite there! I own the freedom ace and the freedom ace plus..those freedoms are excellent machines and there ability to ignore the iron is something garrett has seem to forgotten about since the freedom series.

I'm a diver so got myself a Minelab Excalibur, when my Fisher 1280X flooded and died. I use the Excalibur on land and in the water, also have and Ace 250 for the wife to use while I swim.

Been at it for a year now.  Don't get out detecting as much as Id like to.  Went to a beach at a small local lake yesterday.  Found 61 cents.  Fun to get out.  Its unusual to be able to get out detecting here this time of the year.  Mildest winter I can ever remember and Im in my 60's.

My first White's Coinmaster 1DB, Second White's Goldmaster 66T and my current machine is a Fisher CZ 5 with a Sunray pinpointer.  I still have them all.  I haven't found any really good finds but lots of clads and costume jewelry, with a couple of wedding rings found for friends after they lost them.

Fisher M-Scope 1266XB. The simplest and one of the most easiest and accurate ones that I have ever used. I really like to dig for Civil War relics ere in SE Virginia. Getting harder & harder to find places to hunt with permission.

I guess Im getting old.  Forgot this forum was on here.  Thought I found something new and there was my post from a year ago.   Metal detecting is a great hobby.  I have been out about 40 times since my last post.  Did pretty good on clad coins and a few trinkets.  Got a new detector recently. Got a Minelab x-terra 705.  I think Im going to like it.  I won't say anything bad about my old Bounty Hunter tho...   Its been good to me, too.
