Sorry bigblock no link. Picture is in the back of the blackpowder guns and hunting magazine (Winter 2008) issue. The gun looks like an accura with a regular stock and not long pistol grip like the accura. :)

From the magazine.

CVA has announced that it will soon be shipping its new APEX interchangeable barrel rifle. With this gun, CVA believes that it has duplicated the besr aesthetic and ergonomic features of the best  European high grade single shot rifles, and combined them with the no-nonsense performance aspects that American hunters prefer. The APEX can quickly ans easily set up with a wide range of stainless steel, fluted,Bergara barrels in 13 different calibers-including muzzleloader, centerfire, and rimfire. Every APEX features CVA's patent pending E-Z open breeching mechanism, which, due to its trigger guard actuation ,is extremely simple to operate. The APEX's innovative trigger design provides an incredebly clean, crisp pull and is adjustable from 3-5lbs. An ambidextrous synthetic stock sports a high comb specifically designed for the  scope shooter and has the new Crush zone ultra recoil pad. Stocks are finished black or Realtree APG camo and Quake Claw slingas standard equip. Also standard is Dura Sight Z-2 Alloyrail mount specifically contoured to match the barrel taper.

Real nice looking gun. I have the Optima Elite definately going to buy this one. :)

Can you scan it and post it or email the scanned image?   Hope to have one reasonably soon for testing (maybe).

Subject: Apex info request

I was going to get a Optima Elite when I accidently found out about the new Apex system. When can we expect this for sale and is it comparable to the T/C Prohunter?

I'll be waiting to see the price and then I'll know whether to get the OE or Apex.

I have an OE, and provided the trigger is the same as the Accura. I will buy an Apex as well. I just wonder what the calibers will all be. Thanks for the info, Billy

Is the trigger guard used to break open the action like on the Contender and Encore from T/C?

Yes it is, on the Accura it felt smoother and easier to open than my Contender as well. Hopefully the Apex will be as nice in the trigger area. Billy

Won't know until I see one with respect to the trigger, but IMHO the Accura trigger needs no adjustment.  The Apex pull-weight minimum setting is well above the Accura's setting and probably won't be as much to my liking.

I wonder why they list rifle frames alone? Could they be using the same barrels as the OE?They certainly have the same calibers with just the addition of the one rimfire barrel. I hope they are using the same barrels, as I have all of the current calibers I want, but I could just buy a frame and save a few bucks. Just conjecture, but it's curious that this is the only gun I've seen them list a frame alone for. Thanks, Billy

I guess I'm missing that listing? ?  It doesn't surprise me they would do that though.

Scroll over 2 spots on the bottom to the frame only listing. I hope it's the case, it would give me 2 frames to use with my barrels. Thanks, Billy

I sent an e-mail to CVA, and they said the barrels are different. No answer to my question about what the difference is, so I guess it's back to wait and see. Thanks, Billy
