Weigand scope base for FA83 ?

   I was just wondering if anybody has ever used the Weigand scope base?                                             
    I just ordered one for my FA83's. It's a weaver type base about 4.75" long. Should provide a lot of latitude in scope position. I've always used Leupold mounts on my 83's,but I was never happy with the position of some brands of scopes.
