I think you said you have a Model 92 clone companion gun already. You already have a full set of DA's so unless you intend to use it hunting, a NM Vaquero in 357 would seem to be the perfect companion gun. Buy two, some leather, and go to your next nearby CAS event with the Rossi and a double barreled 12 gauge coach gun. You will have a ball. The Ruger is built hell for stout and you can always trade up to Colt if you come into a bunch of money. Of course the only problem with my suggestion is you won't be shooting the thing occasionally. Instead you will be shooting it regularly.
If you just want to get something to gather dust in a safe, I guess just about any of the Italian clones would fill the bill for about $75 less than the Vaquero. I have to agree that they are pretty well made. If you aren't going to shoot it, you might as well spend three times the price of a Vaquero and buy a Colt. You can keep it new in the box. It would make a great investment for your kids to sell after you are gone.
