Swift water Rescue in DC Area.

.

My hat is off to the people that executed the Swift Water Rescue.  An extremely tough and dangerous job.  I was exhausted watching it on TV.

The rescuer in the water did a outstanding job with the crew supporting him.

The Park Police Helicopter crew was outstanding and did a professional job.  A very tight location to lower a basket with the surrounding powerlines, and trees.  A great job of flying.

I am sure there were a folks supporting them in the background that helped the operation succeed.

Caught all that on the news. Quite a job they did. The dia. of the pipe that broke I could walk thru it standing up and not muss my hair ( ::) wait I dont have any hair).
They say it was pumping out 135m gals per min. That could make for one hairy ride down the street ifin you dint drown.
