Normally I would say"let him pay his due", but more and more lately I am beginning to see that many high placed politicians are in there primarily to "get theirs..and get out"!
Is what Duke did any worse than what a couple presidents in recent years did..One, cut our military budgets to the bone, cut drastically, the size of the Navy, try to sell a closed Navy base in So Cal..to the Chinese..and clear the way for certain crooked corporations to sell our ICBM guidance systems to the Chinese?
The other also cut our military budgets so slim that even the spec ops units could not afford to have proper training and helicopters so poorly maintained that an entire force sent to rescue our embassy hostages..was wiped out..
Remember; one of these two brilliantly sent spec ops into Mogadishu at NOONDAY (when we "own" the night)..and had no backup of rescue armor or contingency planning..should things go bad...and they did! Remember Blackhawk Down.
Frankly, I think there are a lot more politicians that have done as bad and have not even been "brought on the carpet" for it! So I say, if you can't treat all the political crooks alike..why jump on one's frailties?
We had John Kerry come back from Vietnam and accuse our troops of committing atrocities..even saying he did so too..so why isn't he in jail?
We had Jophn Murtha accusing our Marines of being "cold blooded killers"..the Marines he accused were exonerated..so why isn't he in jail?
Fair for one...fair for all!
