Dan Wesson 375 Mag
« on: December 24, 2008, 12:15:45 PM »
Im new to the site and also to Dan Wesson firearms. I picked a 375 mag and about 80 rounds of ammo. The handgun is in good shape except for the vented rib has been drilled and taped for a scope mount. Any info on the revolver would be nice . Thank you in advance ???

Great caliber! We make the ammo for it if you need more, there we not too many made, an exact count I could not give you.

I shot one a few years back; as accurate as any DW.  The one I fired had a 6" barrel and a fairly stout recoil compared to my model 40 with an 8".  There weren't alot made, compared to the other calibers, except the 45colt and 32-20 which are practically rare.

There were many 357's made by all the companies from Monson, Palmer and even the Norwich, pre CZ days.  What only a few were made are the 375's which are a supermag and were made at one plant only, I believe.

So what length barrel have you got? I have a 8" 744 (Stainless Steel 44 magnum) if you have an 8" stainless barrel and want to trade for a none drilled and tapped shroud I might be willing to do a trade if yours is in good shape like mine.

I was just getting ready to call DW tomorrow and see how much to have the barrel drilled and tapped and mount installed.
