The two shades of green kills me.  That sage really tested well coming out of the focus groups.

I like them. If I had a little extra $, I would consider getting one.

I've said it before.........guns are supposed to be blue, and wood.......Or on a revolver, several options for grips.  These things are 'rugly.  If you gave me one I would take it of course, then paint it black or something.

Wish Ruger would offer that on their hunter models.  I think with some different grips they would look pretty good.  I've got some "pretty" guns, but when it comes to hunting in the rain/snow, that finish would be very functional.

Can I say it's 'Butt Ugly'???

I can't think of a single application for anything that looks like these guns.

A better use of USFA's time would be to 'Take the pulse' of the shooting community and build what we want.

Kinda reminds me of Winchester in 1964, and the endless pile of "commemoratives" that followed.  That company abandoned its roots, changed its whole product line to attract the Ugly Gun Lover market, and look where it is now.

If they offered them at half price and added adjustable sights I may consider it. I see it as a hunting/outdoorsmans tool with the paint scheme. I know that these models  make traditionalists cringe.

HORRIBLE! Why don't they just use spray paint, at least then you could touch up the scratches easy.

I like them too. Not for me I don't think, but maybe a long barrel in 327 mag, with the bright sights for shootin small game in these southern oak hammoks where I live.......................

Not everyone has the same tastes.  I have 2 rodeos.  A sheriff model in 45 colt and a 5.5" 38.  Both fine guns but butt ugly with the flat finish.  But I bought them to shoot and use, and that finish does not hurt anything.  Here in the humid tropics, a durable finish like those new guns will sell just fine.  I see the good ole boys coming back from their hog hunts in Bushnell (just north of me) with camo clothes, trucks, holsters, and guns. These flat natural color finishes are close to camo really.   TC has done well with camo finish on Encore rifles.  I think there will be a market, and applaud the company for trying new ideas.

  • Hey hey hey!
It would seem that you and the company disagree.  They must have seen a market, and moved to exploit it.  And apparently they didn't include you in their focus group research.  Perhaps because you aren't the demographic they were aiming for.

You mean, QUEERS?  :D The bottom one would be nice for red clay camo on a hog hunt, I guess.
