Has anyone tried the new Benjamin Discovery PCPs? They certainly look interesting.

Yup...have one & had put one together for a friend....best bang for the buck in pcp's.  I have a BSA that has almost $2000 in it & a properly modified disco is pretty close.   1" groups @ 50 yard.  Can be legally quieted to almost no noise.   Completely capable of tagging squirrels at 50 yards without a problem.   You can buy it with pump for about $400...about $250 if you have your own air source (scuba tank and adaptor...can fill the gun nearly 80 times per scuba tank...about $5).  Much easier to shoot than springers....won't tear up scopes like springers & no recoil.  Really good power (15.9 grain pellets at mid 800 fps) and about 25 shots per gun fill.

My wife surprised me with one for Christmas. I really couldn't believe the accuracy. Rough sight in in basement offhand at 25 yards. Then moved outside 1.1" group on 3 shot off hand sight in at 50 yards. Adjusted scope, slowed down a bit, leaned up against door frame, contolled breathing, steady trigger break .48" group. Locked in sight vise. .28" group. I froze my butt off for the last one. These were crosman premier dome.

Second day still very cold out. Threw a little cracked corn on top of the snow at what I thought was about 50 yards from the door. Turned out to be 64. Got 12 starling throughout day. Now that was a good hunting trip, sitting in front of the fire with the family.

Today it got up to 25 degrees so I went out hunting. Got 4 rabbits at 5 yards to 35 yards with  noggin shots. We just had them for dinner. Tomorrow they want pheasant or chukar so I'll be out for that. The chaps in the pen better hope I find some.

So, extremely impressed.  Found a page with some good info a few minutes ago looking for real velocity since my chrono bit the dust.
