Reloading 357 Maxi`s with old 357mag Lee handloader

Would like to find out if anyone ever tried reloading 357 maximum with the old classic Lee hand reloader
set? I know you can reload 357 maximum with conventional reloding dies.

Ive done it. Its kinda hard to explain. I dont have the Lee Loader infront of me. If remember correctly I set the die body on the little base that you use to deprime. Then I had to shorten the bullet seater. I hope that makes sense.. I loaded 10 rounds or so like that. Then I shot them with some rounds I loaded with a set of max dies on the bench. I was shooting with a peep sight. I was hitting my target ( softball size pumkins) at 75 yards with both rounds. So POI may be off an inch or so, not sure.

Thanks for the information, I do understand about the seating die adjustment. I have all kinds of reloading equipment for various rifle and handgun cartridges. I have several of the Lee handloaders and sometimes I just like to set down and "pound" and reload on these old style reloaders. I have had excellent results using these on the .308 Win. Accuracy was great!The 357 maxi is a great round and
I will be trying to reload using the Lee handloader with the HORNADY 180 XTP.

What type of firearm were you reloading for? I have a Thompson Center 10"FOR THE 357 Maxi with scope. This combination has proven to be a fairly accurate setup especially on varmints.

Ive got a Nef 357 max with a 17 inch barrel.

I don`t think you will be disappointed! I have numerous tc barrels calibers ranging from 22 to 454 Casull.
Lot`s of luck in your quest should you decide to get 357 Maxi barrel!

Yeah I know. I found a contender with a 30-30 & 22lr barrels for $400. Then try & find a 357
