We tried at all times to keep Ed's head NOT over any of the thunder mugs but it was difficult. After this, I'd recommend that anyone who has to fire thunder mugs for more than one shot, put the device on a table or chair or other raised object, for loading, so it is at a better angle to keep your head out of the line of fire, if the mug is constructed so you can lift it by a handle and keep it at a safe antle when loaded. If there's no way to handle it conveniently, then you are stuck with loading it in its firing position. Putting it up on a stump or other raised platform that can be used to fire it also may be the best idea. Working it when it is on the ground makes it too easy to get your head in the way, as we saw when making this video.
