Source for contender stocks?
« on: December 29, 2008, 09:06:29 PM »
I have never owned a cotender rifle, in need of a stock set for carbine barrel. I would like laminate. What all is out there? I know of boyds.
Thanks for the help.

Take a look at Gunstocks, Inc., they might have what you're looking for.

They are great to work with.  Highly recommended.

Thanks for the link.  I am trying to find a source for a shorter stock so my daughter can try my Encore.

If they don't list one they will make you whatever you need for length.  I had them make a longer stock for my Contender and it came out great.  There was a small upcharge for longer.

I sent them an email about an hour ago, and they have already answered it.  I was very impressed by the detailed response.  Many companies simply answer these types of questions with yes, no, or maybe.  Their response included details from previous customers, their recommendations, and full color pictures of some shorter Encore stocks they have made.

Very impressed with their reponse.  Perhaps some other companies could learn a little something from them when it comes to customer service.

Thanks again to Czech_too and Keith L for the recommendation.

On my last order from them I made a mistake on line, and they called right away to make sure they did what I wanted.  I really appreciated the extra effort, and will continue to buy from and recommend them.

I will definitely be ordering a stock from them as soon as I can figure out what LOP my daughter needs.
I also like the looks of their thumbhole stocks  ;)
