Mission X3
« on: December 30, 2008, 08:47:36 AM »
Hi

I bought a Mission X3 as my first bow to see if this is for me. I have been
shooting it now for a month and I love it. I still have one turn left to get to the full
70 pounds. I think I am on about 66 pounds.

Any one of you using one and how do you feel about it? One day my budget will let
me buy a new Mathews but for now this should do!

Cheers
Sweet

i looked at one and shot one at the shop here in town.  it shot really nice and had a nice price tag as well.  from what i understand they are made by matthews.  the x3 looks like it would be a great hunting bow.  i found a better deal on something else, but i have a few buddies that are getting the x3.  i can't find any fault with it at all!

There is nothing wrong with your Mission X3 bow, as it will kill just as well as the most expensive Mathews Monster or Reezen bow in the field.

;) I love my bow. I've had this bow now for three and a half months and I just love it.
I got to 70 pounds about a month ago, and I get 252fps with 497gr arrows.

My first hunt with a bow will be the end of April, and I can't wait any more!! I will go
for wildebeest and impala. I will use Easton Nano's with 300 spine and 125gr Muzzy's.

So untill then it is just shooting and so more shooting.

I got a mission bow also. It's not the X3, though. I got a UX2, a dual cam. It's set-up at 62 lbs weight.  ;D  I wanted to get a 2 cam since I have a Martin saber with the M-Pro single cam. Even though I got it from a pro shop close to me, it was well within my budget and having it set-up by someone who knows how to set one up, instead of those clowns at BPS. I ended up having to take my martin to the same guy to set-up because the idiot at BPS had everything screwed up. Now the martin is dead-on! ;) I'm taking the UX2 to it's first 3-D shoot this weekend. I've been practicing and fine tuning it at 20 and 30 yds.

 ;D
So on Saterday morning this young kudu bull came in. He was my first buck hunted
with a bow. I gave him (me) time to relax and took my bow, but I couldn't draw it, I checked the
cam to see if something was stuck. All clear, I then relised it was just the shakes.
I waited another minute and tried again, this time the bow played allong.
I slowly moved into the window. With the 20 yards pin half way up the body in line
with the front leg I let go.

The Easton Nana with 125gr Slick Trick landed about 30 yards on the other side of the kudu.
I could see the hide from where the kudu dropped! This is addictive!!
