NEF 444/270 Camo & Blue Combo
« on: December 30, 2008, 04:12:09 PM »
I stopped by a local gun shop this week looking to purchase a 45/70 and saw the 444/270 Camo & Blue combo.  H&R does not have this setup on their website.  Is it possible to add a 12gauge to this model?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I've got the fluted 270 from one of those 270/444 combos, the frame is an SB2 that can be fitted with any barrel except rimfire and the 10ga based barrels.  ;)

one gun to handle 45-70 or 444 and 270 and 12 gauge...

in a reasonable world, a man should never need another gun after that.  thank goodness we're not reasonable!
thats going to be one versatile setup!

The tag on the gun was marked SC2. Is that a glorified SB2? Any knowledge of the upgrade?

Combo model numbers start with SC.

.444, .270, 12 gauge (with screw in choke tubes of course), a great combo. Now just keep your eyes open for a .22 LR Versa Pak barrel and you have everything covered....<><....:)

(pete, I'm with you, I prefer the 45/70 myself...but the .444 will work)
