HANDI SS1 SPORSTER TARGETS AFTER TRIGGER WORK
« on: January 02, 2009, 07:16:14 AM »
OK, after working/honing my trigger group in this little 125 dollar rifle, I mounted a 50 dollar (I think these scopes are worth twice that. I have 3 of them), and here are 3 types of ammo I tried. I had one nice 10 shot group from the Remingtons, but had one FTF, and after rotating it and trying again, it fired, but about 3/4 inch off target ruining that group.

Just thought y'all might want to look at them. I have a CZ 452FS that is my normal Squirrel gun, but when I need a "grab-n-go gun" I snatch my handi-sportster of the hook and go! I would not hunt with it before the trigger/spring work, but now I feel fine taking it out in the field.

Pretty good shooting, congratulations. What scope(s) are you talking about? I have been reading lately about some good and inexpensive scopes made by Konus, but they are $79.95 on sale....<><....:)

Here are some pics of my rig. The scope is a Tasco, Golden Antler 3x9x32. It is actually an air rifle scope which makes it to be very rugged on handling recoil. Optics are very crisp, duplex reticle, and adjustable objective all the way down to 21 ft! Large turrets on top as you can see. They even come with a set of .22 rings. They run about 50 bucks shipped at : opticsgiant.com (this is what you want: Tasco 3-9x32mm Golden Antler GA3932AGD)

Hello ilike
That is nice shooting. Is that a .22?
Is that gold printing on your receiver the normal for that rifle?   I have a .17 sportster that is just plain black printing.  That gold looks pretty sharp. :o

Actually, the print on my rifle has been "accented" by applying white paint stik to the lettering. Easy, very easy, and I like the look. It can be removed if you want. I have used it on several firearms. This is what I use:
