Fusion .260 120gr.
« on: January 02, 2009, 06:43:55 PM »
Has anyone used the 120 grain Fusion in .260?  I have only used a NBT in this caliber (with good results).  But i am wondering if I have just been lucky in avoiding a "blow-up" with the NBT.  Was wondering how the new Fusion 120 gr. would compare?

Maybe you have been using too much common sense.  ;) I don't have those blowup problems but then again, I know which size BT & on which game & the max vel.

But you should try the Fusion because quite often they are crazy accurate.

I've seen deer dropped with 243 and 7mm-08 Fusion and both were very effective.  LOTS of damage inside and not much meat loss.  No recovered bullets, all pass thru's.  I have also found them to be very accurate in the guns I have, only 2 different ones so far, will try them in 2 other 7mm-08's soon.  Only have one 243 that I trust to use at this time.  DP

The marketing info on the Fusion bullets is that they were specifically designed for maximum performance on deer.  I have not hunted with them but they are quite accurate in my 30-30.
