A couple marlin ?'s

My dad has a marlin 336 cowboy 38/55 and I love that rifle.I was wonder if you can take a marlin pistol grip rifle and put a straight grip lever and buttstock on it?Does marlin still offer the cowboy conversion since remington took them over?If so can they do it in 38/55?I think lever gun in 38/55 would go nice with h&r target classic in 38/55.Thanks for any help.

Your could do it, but you would need a different trigger group. The one that the pistol grip uses is different then the straight grip. Then you only need the stock... ;D.

 You'll need a lower trigger plate, lever, and stock to do a conversion.

Seems like a lot of people are goin to straight grips, I also prefer them myself.
