I found a brand new 357 handi sb-2 at a local gun store and I have been researching reloading data .I found some for a 357 mag casull pistol . The article is written by JOHN TAFFIN .In the article it states not to use in any other 357 magnums.Has anybody used these loads in their handi. Here is a link the the article .

Well actually he calls it a 353 Casull...but I don't think he's doing anything you couldn't do better with 360DW brass which chambers just fine in most 357Mag Handis.  ;)

I am still trying to make up my mind about reaming it to 357 max,The gun shoots very well now I would think it still  would if I had it reamed.I have read so much about the 357 mag being a marginal whitetail caliber. Many people think it is to underpowered and the same amount think it is not.I think it would be great for a tree stand gun where I hunt, all of my shots would be under 75 yards using either 180 grain xtp or 180 hard cast lead bullets.

Wayne, Welcome to the wonderful world of Handi-holics.
Most on GBO that have a 357 mag have reamed to the Maxie,
And are very happy with it. It is very good deer rifle for white tails
out to 125 to 150 yards. I know I am a happy old dog.
 Good luck Marv.

P.S. Easiest 15 min time spent reaming to the Maxie you ever did.

I use max loads with hardcast 180s and I've never had a failure to take game, most of my hunting is inside of 100 yrds and I feel that the .357 is just so handy in the woods. I've taken several with my handgun out to 70 yrds or sowith excellent results. The handie rifle just makes is a little easier. And like quick says mine shoot 360 DW just fine to, But I also have a Max and another .357 that I think I'll make into a .35 Rem, I like .357 bullets. 8)

BTW a Max lets you shoot .38s, ,357s, 360 DW, and .357 Max out of one barrel, Kinda handie.  Pun intended.

Why I've got mine! ;D
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.
