CATHETER PROTECTOR
« on: January 04, 2009, 09:52:33 AM »
Let me first say that I don't know anything about Catheters.
I have a Friend on dialysis and he cannot find a protector for when he baths.
I have looked on line and am confused.
Are there different protectors for bathing?
Are all catheters the same size?
Blessings----  :-\ :-[ ???from confused

What limited smarts I have with those gizmos is this. There are two types. The one type is a flexible tube that is inserted into the urethra and ends in the bladder with a bulb that inflates on it to keep it from pulling out. the other one is external, sort of like a condom.  End of smarts for me. There might be one different for females, dunno.
