i  person  is  icarcerated  with  mandatory  sentences
for  useing  or  selling  drugs

they  are  hurting  no one but  themselves    [i  didn't  say  they can  drive  etc  so  don't go there ]

i  was  pointing  out  how  readily  society  accepts prosecution  of  victimless crimes
these  laws   only  increase  profits  for the black  market

a 19 year old pregnant mother of  a 7 year old
and  a 22 year old  with  3 kids
i  am  willing  to bet  the tax payers  support  these kids  and sisters  too
if  not  incarcerated  they  would  still  be  REPRODUCING  WORTHLESS  PEOPLE

i  have  been  falsely  arrested twice  and  actually  prosecuted  once falsely  but  not  convicted [ i got  money]

we  have  more  people  in  prison  per capita  than any other  country  but  we try to sell  freedom to everyone  else

but  these  girls  are  worthless  and  should  be  held  in  jail

we  had 3  murders  and i wounded ....... 2 couples [trying  to buy  drugs unavailable at the drug store i think]
orphans  left  behind [pre-schoolers]  parrents  shot at  a stop sign  in  their  car
boxed  in  by 2 cars one  father survived
it  was  10 blocks  from  my house

it  was  in  the paper  that 4  of  the 6 robber/shooters  had  no  prior convictions
they  were  caught  with  the weapon  in  hand  in  their  front  yard  next  day  [geniouses]
BUT  NO  PRIORS    GOOD BOYS   they  were  all  18  years  old
their  juvenile  records  finally  came  out

have  these  girls  kids gotten  into  trouble  yet

why  doesn't  any one  suggest  that  some  people  should  also  be neutered
our  society  puts  more  emphasis  on  breeding  good  dogs  than  good people

do  you  agree  that  some  people  are  worthless...or worse??
these  girls  are  a paycheck  for  a prison  guard  that  you and  i  pay
other  than  the prison  workers  we  will  be better  of  when  they  die

This is less crazy than your usual postings... In fact I almost didn't follow the link because of all the hours I've wasted following up your wild-eyed claims before.

They were positively identified by both victims at trial, in addition to those who pled.  I found their appeal here: http://www.mssc.state.ms.us/Images/Opinions/Conv1557.pdf

It appears they didn't challenge the sentence.  I have absolutely no idea how Mississippi handles sentencings but they would not have received such a harsh sentence in Kansas.  They might well have been tried as adults however.  Laws put pressure on judges and prosecutors to try juveniles as adults when guns are involved.  Also, they didn't appeal that ruling.

Perhaps Mississippi splits appeals up, but I was surprised no one suggested inaffective assistance of counsel.  The failure to get witness records prior to trial seems like a prejudicial error to me.

*UPDATE* additional reading suggests that they were 18 and 21 when the crime happened.

Geez,,,I guess that Constitution not only protects us from The Moberment but from each other. Given the legal concepts of prejudice and precedent, and peoples understanding of them, I would say avoid jury trials in most cases these days.

IF, it seems that there is some racial prejudice involved, there probably is.
IF, it seems that the courts are fed up too their eyeballs with these two and their friends, they probably are.
The two IF'S make for a lot of the goings on.
I sure think these two have tested the law, relying on their age as a hedge.
They are street smart enough too work the system as any adult.
I have no problem treating them as adults.
As far as redemption/rehabilitation is concerned. It must be an internal work not an institutional work.
Most in this position have been found too lack the fiber too change and are by this time career criminals.
If we expect too eliminate then we need too take a close look at history in Germany, the Soviet Union, Iraq, and other places too see that this action quickly gets out of hand depending on who has the power.
I vote NO too cleansing.
These two girls are lost too society, however.

I would suggest that this was the tip of the iceberg with these two, the straw that broke the camels back.
You could be right, however; it seems pretty far fetched that even in the old Jim Crowe days they would have recieved such a sentence without prior provication.

If you're trying to get better try these three tips:
When you use the word, "I" it should always be capitalized.
When a sentence is over, use a period.
When you start a new sentence, capitalize the first word.

Your last paragraph should read:

It did take me a few post too see the effort you make and you have improved very much since the first.
dukkillr's thoughts should be taken as good advice if you are too keep on improving.
