Recoil Pads for Pardner Pump Turkey
« on: January 05, 2009, 10:32:41 AM »

Gents,

I got this shotgun for Christmas and love it to death so far. However, it does kick somewhat and I am wondering what size or brand, or style will fit on these things as a replacement for the factory one.  Any help would be appreciated.

Probably not the sophisticated answer you're looking for but I use the slip-on "Sissy Pad" from Walmart on my 12 gauge Pardner.  Might not look too great but you can always take it off when not in use.

I would recommend a Limbsaver, I put one of the slip over's on my son's 30-30 Handi and it is awesome.  Check here http://www.limbsaver.com/pdfs/templates/LS_templates.pdf to see if one will fit or you can get the grind to fit or slip over.

It has been reported ,but I have not personaly verified it ,that an 870 pad will work.
PROUD REDNECK CONSERVATIVE

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

Thanks for the input so far, Gents.   I checked out the templates for limbsaver and am in the process of printing them right now. Hopefully, the recoil pad will be screwed on in stead of glued on.  I'll let ya'll know how it turns out. Please continue to submit suggestions.
