I am 14 and i live in Orange County, NY.  I would like to get into trapping to make some money. I know you can't make a lot of it now a days, but for me, any moneys good money. I wolud like to use body gripping traps or any traps that kill the animal for you.

Does anyone have any tips on how i could do this? please help!!

BH-94    First thing you do is take your states trapping course and learn the proper traps and ways to harvest animals...... AND learn how to  properly skin and put up furs so you can sell  when you want and not just in the carcass or green skins.... There is alot to learn in the trapping field..... start out  with one or two furbearers and as you get good at harvesting and putting those animals up go on to another...... as you mentioned you wont make  money at this but you would like to at least pay for your expenses of buying equipment ect plus you want to have fun doing this knowing you are going about it the right way.... besides taking your states trapping course , someone from your states trapping association can possibly  suggest a experience mentor to help you along.... Good Luck...

New York has very strict limitations on what sized bodygrippers can be used on land.Check with your department of game and fish ,or department of natural resources ,to see what thes restrictions are.I believe you are limited to 110s or the 5 inch body grippers, but I am not sure on everyones regulations. I also believe you have trigger restrictions on your 330's used in the water.
Once you do this, you will have a better idea on how you want to proceed.
