Am trying to pin down the fort this was taken at. I'm sure the projectiles are 15-inch on top and probably 10-inch on bottom, so that doesn't help much, many forts had both. The ca. is 1901 based on the rifles and cartridge belts etc. The owner send a slightly zoomed-in image which shows the hatplate a bit better, first digit is 7 but can't make out second digit. If I had that I'd be able to look up where the 7X Coast Arty Company was in 1901. I do know the 71st. was posted at Alcatraz, but second dig isn't a 1.

I agree that this is a post 1901 picture (1901 sights on the Kraig). Could these be N.G.just at some post. More often than not regulars had blue belts.( and these look to be double row)
