I just found this site and it looks cool. In fact, you guys swayed me to the RB in .480. Found it for $450 NIB. Any word on other factory offerings? Has anyone taken game with a .480? Thanks

I took three deer in the last two seasons with mine. I am in the minority as far as bullet selection, I use jacketed Speer or Hornady, as most guys on here like the Hard cast stuff. My next mission is to take a black bear with mine. With a red dot sight, I can keep most of my bullets inside of 6" at 50 yards, and I love the way it shoots. Enjoy!

I shot a small pig with it with factory Hornady ammo (325 grain). It had bullet holes the size of a quarter!

Just picked RB up locally, paid $505.00 including tax. Nice weapon! Thinking of putting a busnell holo sight on it, anybody used a holo?

I have, and they work fine, and they held up the recoil of a 454 Cassull, but I'm really not used to them. I prefer the traditional scopes with cross-hairs.

With my eyesight , seeing the sights and focusing on the target is getting more difficult every year. I finally found a rifle scope that works but sighting through a scope at arms length seems difficult. I like the idea of the holo, having played with one at the store, I guess I will have to put one on the RB and shoot it to see if it will work with me, if not resale shouldn't be difficult.

I love my 480. My favorite load is a 400 grain cast under H110 full load or titegroup for plinking. I have been inpressed by the clean burning charactics of this round.

I prefer scope my slef over the holo sight. My Dad loves red dots. Play in the store and see what you like for optics. As they say each to ther own.

Thanks for the info guys. I think there are 2 Gold Dot loads out there also. I also heard something about Buffalo Bore.

Will this gun fit in a holster made for a Python or is the frame and lug too big?

The Python is a toy in size compared to the RB. It will not fit the holster made for any other handgun that I know of. I got my leather for it from Pistol Packaging. That's what I recommend to everyone.

Woops, slight problem!!!

The state of California says the M480 is not approved for sale here. Therefore, I had to go with one that is approved. That is the 454 with 8 3/8" barrel. Would have preferred a 6" but that is not approved either. Glad I found out before it was shipped out and I tried to register it :?
