Glock Holsters?
« on: January 07, 2009, 06:16:20 AM »
I recently picked up a like new Glock 20 and am wondering about what holster set up works the best for just casual carry applications. I will be carrying this while bow hunting and also using the gun for home defense. I'm looking for something that is easy to draw from. Any ideas? Oh yeah it has to be availble in LH as I'm cursed (or blessed) with being a southpaw!

Thanks.

BlackHawk makes a LH holster for the Glock 20/21 I believe. One of the Serpa models would be a good woods holster due to the retention system. The Sportster is about $35.

uncle mikes makes a real nice holster. you can use it for right or left hand. i have a glock 23 40 cal and it works perfect for this weapon. mine is the sidekick size 15.

While your bowhunting you will want to keep your Glock very close where it will not get hung up.  I have always had very good luck with my original Glock holster.  The other Kydex holsters are noisy, and the Glock holster is very quet.

Ended up with the Uncle Mikes ambidextrious. It will do for now until I can locate something a little more draw friendly. Thanks for the replies!

I like the original Glock holster.  I use it to carry my G22 hog hunting.  It's light, tight, and keeps the gun close to my body so it never snags on anything.  Plus, it's cheap.

That's what I have for my G27 and I love it...I am also a Southpaw.
